Ode to Antoni was the artist’s contribution of the exhibition Feast of Recognition in 2013, which could be seen in House Kernhem, Ede. For this theme 26 artists got inspired by different famous works of well-known artists. The idea for Ode to Antoni came from the roof of Casa Batlló in Barcelona, designed by Antoni Gaudí. Gaudí on his turn got inspired by the back of a dragon.
Petra de Vree made Ode to Antoni because of her great admiration for Antoni Gaudí. He is a maestro who changed the reputation of Barcelona completely and is a source of inspiration for many people world wide.
The sculpture has the size of 62 x 65 x 18 cm.
