Solo exhibition: Inspiring Women

Exposition Inspiring Women.

For nearly two decades artist Petra de Vree works in the Netherlands and beyond: in Africa, Asia and Latin America. Over the years, she creates a wonderful array of unique sculptures of confident women. In her own distinctive semi-realistic style she combines pride and strength with elegance and delicacy.

Take My Knowledge is the name of the sculpture of Petra de Vree that is commissioned by the Network of Wageningen Women Alumni (VWI) as a gift to the WUR. In this exposition the process of making this sculpture is showed. The sculpture itself stand in Impulse, building # 115 of the campus.

Her first female sculpture Petra made out of the natural clay of Bolivia. At the moment she is inspired by the fertile Bangladesh and focuses more on dynamics and movement in her work. Besides other works two of her newest sculptures made in Bangladesh can also be seen in the vitrine of the Library.
