Stomata
For Stomata Petra was inspired by the ‘skin’ of a leave. Stomata are microscopic structures on plants found typically on the outer leaf skin layer. During the biology lessons on high school Petra fantasized of what skin-mouthes (the Dutch term for Stomata) could look like. The way she created this sculpture could be a possibility.
The green color of her Stomata refers to the color of the leaves of a plant.
The sizes are 30 x 11 x 5 cm and 30 x 8 x 5 cm.
