Whitney

Whitney refers to white island, white earth. Whitney is a white sculpture and part of the series Treasures of Earth.

As some rocks in Ha Long Bay are horizontally fractured Petra used this idea in Whitney as well as in Adore. In fact if you place those two sculptures next to each others, the breaking line continues in the other sculpture. The chance they come together in the future is little, as Adore found a home in Ho Chi Min City and Whitney went to Wageningen.
